About me

My musical journey began at the age of 6, when I started studying the piano in Brașov, with teacher Cristina Vârlan. Between 2005 to 2011, I was a part of each class show organized by my teacher, together with her students from the "Tudor Ciortea" Music High School in Brașov.

Meanwhile, my passion for music developed more, and I taught myself a little bit of guitar. I would accompany myself with the piano or with the guitar, while covering well-known songs, or improvising. There was always music playing in our home, and the genres were diverse (jazz, soul, psychedelic rock, blues-rock, blues, progressive rock, and the list goes on). That's when I first became familiar with jazz artists such as Oscar Peterson, Glenn Miller, Django Reinhardt, Thelonious Monk, Ella Fitzgerald, and Louis Armstrong. I also grew to love and be deeply influenced by bands like The Doors, The Beatles, Jethro Tull, Pink Floyd, and Led Zeppelin. During high school I started to compose my original pieces, and to study voice with teacher Cristina Puia, who turned out to be a real mentor for me. She inspired me to become a teacher myself.

In high school I also participated in the Kronstadt Master Fest singing competition, where I won third prize in the Pop section, and first prize in the Beatles Tribute section. By participating in many shows and musical events, I first got to experience the joy of being onstage and communicating with the public.

In 2016, I graduated from the National College "Dr. Ioan Meșotă" in Brașov, and then I chose to study at the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca, to prepare for a career as a software engineer. However, I did not give up my passion for music, and once I moved to Cluj, following Mrs. Puia's advice, I started attending jazz classes at the Student's Cultural Center, under the guidance of Professor Ștefan Vannai. In the fall of 2017, I participated in the "Jazz Napocensis" Student Festival, where I won first prize.

In 2019, my passion for blues and rock led to my collaboration with the band Monday Shadows from Cluj-Napoca, as a vocalist. Together we performed in venues such as Zipp It, Hardward Pub and Casa Tranzit, as well as in other cities such as Sibiu and Mediaș. These experiences helped me to grow both as a person and as an artist.

Between 2021 and 2023, due to some personal challenges, I had to take a break from everything music-related. In order not to let my creativity fall by the wayside, I attended the beginners' acting and improvisation course led by Melania Aștilean at Urania Palace.

From the summer of 2024 until mid-2025 I was part of the Soirée French Piano Bar project, along with the vocalist Teodora Bârla. At the moment I am focusing on my solo project and I am the vocalist in the Moment's Notice duet. More details about my projects can be found here.
